Born and raised in Miami, Cassandra got her first real taste of the PR world through the world-renowned Art Basel Miami Beach in 2004 and hasn't looked back since. After having developed strong media relationships through working at high-profile events for Swarovski, Piaget Jewelry, HBO Films and Perrier-Jouët Champagne during Art Basel, Cassandra began working at one of South Florida’s most reputable travel PR firms, Cheryl Andrews Marketing, as an intern while studying Public Relations at Florida International University in 2006. She quickly moved up the ranks for consistently delivering media successes for her clients.
Representing some of the most exotic resorts and island destinations, from Turks & Caicos to Nevis to Trinidad & Tobago, she was able to fuel her passion for travel, while continuing to build solid relationships with notable journalists. A couple of years traveling to some of the most pristine beaches in the Caribbean left Cassandra with a strong grasp of the luxury lifestyle market, making her transition to KSVP Media & Events in 2008 a natural next step. With a focus primarily on high-end luxury lifestyle, fashion, beauty, jewelry, spirits and hospitality brands, Cassandra was an invaluable asset to the KSVP team bringing with her expertise in the travel and tourism and real estate arenas.
After her tenure at KSVP, Cassandra sharpened her PR skills at Roc Media PR in 2009. There she managed all media efforts on a local and national level for a range of high profile clients. Having also worked on a multitude of fashion shows, parties and client events, Cassandra has represented some of the industry’s brightest talent, working with top editors, wardrobers and stylists for editorial coverage. Aside from her success in print and television media, Cassandra became an early-adopter of also using social media as an effective PR tool. In April 2010, after seven years of experience and a fulfilling roster of projects and events under her belt, Cassandra opened up CMPR and welcomes the constant forward drive and energy of the PR world.
